Services
Speech (Articulation & Phonology)
Support for children who have difficulty producing speech sounds clearly. Therapy focuses on helping children learn how to correctly produce sounds, combine sounds into words, and improve overall speech clarity so they can be better understood by others.
Expressive Language
Support for children who have difficulty expressing their thoughts and ideas. Therapy may target:
- Using age-appropriate sentence length
- Expanding vocabulary
- Using correct grammar
- Telling stories and explaining ideas
- Organizing thoughts when speaking
Receptive Language
Support for children who have difficulty understanding language. Therapy may focus on improving:
- Understanding and following directions
- Learning and applying basic concepts (e.g., size, location, quantity)
- Answering questions
- Understanding vocabulary and spoken information
- Processing language in conversations and learning activities
Early Language Development
Support for toddlers and preschool-aged children who are late talkers or showing delays in early communication. Therapy focuses on building foundational skills such as:
- First words and expanding vocabulary
- Combining words into phrases and sentences
- Turn-taking and early conversation skills
- Play-based communication development
Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS)
Specialized therapy for children with motor-planning difficulties that affect speech production. Therapy focuses on helping children plan and coordinate the movements needed for speech through structured, repetitive practice and individualized cueing strategies.
Social Communication Skills
Support for children who have difficulty using language effectively in social situations. Therapy may focus on:
- Conversation skills
- Turn-taking and topic maintenance
- Understanding non-verbal communication
- Perspective taking and problem solving in social situations
- Interpreting social cues
Literacy Skills
Support for children who need help with reading and spelling development. Intervention follows evidence-based approaches aligned with the Science of Reading and may target:
- Phonological and phonemic awareness
- Phonics and decoding skills
- Spelling and word patterns
- Reading fluency and comprehension
Fees
Initial Consultation – $50
An initial consultation allows families to meet with a clinician, discuss the services offered, and determine an appropriate plan for support. This meeting may also help identify whether further assessment is recommended.
Speech & Language Therapy
Individual therapy sessions are tailored to each child’s needs and goals.
- 60 minutes – $135
- 45 minutes – $105
- 30 minutes – $80
Assessments
Language Assessment – $300
Comprehensive assessment of receptive and expressive language skills. A formal written report with results, interpretation, and recommendations is included.
Literacy Assessment – $300
Assessment of early literacy and reading-related skills. A formal written report with results, interpretation, and recommendations is included.
Consultation Services
Classroom or Daycare Consultation – $200
Consultation services are available for teachers, early childhood educators, and daycare providers. This may include observation, strategy development, and recommendations to support communication and learning within the classroom or daycare environment.
Additional Information
- Home-based visits are available and are subject to a mileage fee of $0.55/km.
- Small group therapy rates are available and are determined based on group size and the frequency of sessions.
